Job summary

Consolidated Power Projects (CPP) invites a Civil Leading Hand to join our site team in Gladstone, initially on a 10/4 roster. You will lead onsite earthworks and civil construction across major transmission and renewable projects, mentoring crew and coordinating with Supervisors and Project Teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as Civil Leading Hand in earthworks, civil construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading onsite crews with a safety-first culture.
• Experience using civil survey equipment to support earthworks and construction activities.
• Sound understanding of bulk and detailed earthworks, site set-out and civil construction methodologies.
• Current plant operating tickets and demonstrated experience operating machinery (excavators, graders, loaders, skid steers); dozer experience valued.
• Current First Aid Certificate (essential).
• Strong ability to read plans, coordinate daily works and communicate with Supervisors, subcontractors and project teams.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to quality workmanship and delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Construction White Card and a current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite earthworks and civil construction activities.
• Mentor and support crew while working with Supervisors and Project Teams.
• Coordinate daily works and read plans to guide the crew.
• Promote a strong safety culture and maintain high-quality workmanship.
• Deliver works on time and within budget.
