Glenorchy City Council is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Labourer – Civil to deliver high-quality civil construction and maintenance works on roads, drainage systems and infrastructure in Hobart. You will prepare sites, perform earthworks, asphalt, formwork and pipe laying, and operate small plant and equipment with a strong safety focus.

The role requires a Certificate III in Civil Construction or extensive experience, Traffic Management Accreditation, White Card, and a proven ability to work

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Civil Construction or equivalent.
• White Card (Construction Induction) is required.
• Traffic Management Accreditation is required (RIIWHS205E / RIIWHS302E).
• Experience operating small plant and equipment for road maintenance is essential.
• Strong problem-solving, literacy and communication skills are essential.
• Commitment to Workplace Health and Safety is essential.
• Full-Time role: 76 hours fortnight.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and clear worksites for civil construction projects.
• Undertake maintenance and construction of roads, drainage, and civil assets.
• Perform earthworks, concreting, asphalt works, formwork and pipe laying.
• Operate small plant and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Operate rigid motor vehicles up to 15 tonnes GVM.
• Implement and manage traffic control procedures to ensure safety.
• Read and interpret construction plans and record as-constructed data.
• Maintain adherence to WHS standards.
