Job summary

DirectBor, Geelong-based civil and directional drilling contractor, is seeking labourers and pipelayers to join busy year-round crews. You will install conduit and pits, pipelay with proper bedding and backfill to spec, operate hand and power tools, and assist excavators while staying safe around live services.

Ideal candidates hold a White Card and have civil construction experience or a keen willingness to learn. Overtime, paid training, and a clear path from labourer to operator are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as labourer or pipelayer in civil construction.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to site conditions.
• Ability to work around live electrical services and heavy plant.
• Reliable with ability to start early and commit to shifts.
• Capable of lifting up to 20 kg and standing/walking on uneven ground.

DirectBor is a Geelong-based civil and directional drilling contractor building underground electrical infrastructure across Greater Geelong and Western Melbourne. We are looking for labourers and pipelayers to join crews that are busy year round.

Key responsibilities

• Installing conduit, pits and underground electrical infrastructure
• Pipelaying, bedding and backfill to specification
• Operating hand tools, power tools and small plant
• Supporting excavator and drill operators, including spotting near live services
• Keeping the site clean, safe and compliant with SWMS and environmental controls

About you

• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Experience as a labourer or pipelayer in civil construction, or a genuine willingness to learn
• Ability to work safely around live electrical services and heavy plant
• Reliability and ability to start early
• Repeated lifting and carrying up to 20kg
• Extended periods standing and walking on uneven ground
• Working in trenches and confined spaces
• Working outdoors in all weather

$35 to $45 per hour depending on experience, paid fortnightly
