Job summary

City of Geelong is seeking two Permanent Full Time Civil Engineer positions to manage the city's roads, footpaths, bridges and related assets. Qualifications

• Experience in civil infrastructure investigations and providing technical advice for roads, footpaths, bridges or similar assets.

• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to translate technical information into practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate third-party road reserve works and heavy-vehicle access applications.
• Undertake engineering investigations and develop practical recommendations for roads and bridges.
• Support team culture, training others, and share knowledge to develop the department.
• Translate technical information into clear advice for leaders, stakeholders and the community.
• Contribute to the unit's business plan and manage progress against plans and budgets.
