Job summary

Stralis Energy in West Ballina NSW is seeking a Civil Excavator Operator/Trade Assistant to join our depot team. The role supports installation work for electrical and NBN projects, and involves operating around heavy machinery, vehicle maintenance, and assisting trades on site.

Ideal for a motivated candidate with a safety-first mindset; apprenticeship and training opportunities are available to upskill the right applicant at our North Coast depot in West Ballina.

Qualifications

• Ability to work around heavy machinery.
• Safety conscious and proactive in field.
• Willingness to undertake other tasks as required.
• HR Licence (or willingness to obtain) and White Card.
• Exposure to subdivision work is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist installation of conduits, pits, cables for electrical and NBN in subdivisions.
• Assist with maintenance and cleaning of all fleet vehicles.
• Assist trades with other work and tasks as required.
• Liaise with company managers and staff.
• Flexibility to jump between tasks.

We offer a comprehensive range of Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 works (Essential Energy Network) being Solar, Engineering and Electrical Distribution Services to the Electrical industry, specialising in Complex Commercial and Industrial projects.

We are currently looking for a Civil Excavator Operator/Trade Assistant to join our team in West Ballina.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, motivated person who prides themselves on being efficient and getting the job done.

• Assisting installation of conduits, pits, cables for electrical and NBN in subdivisions and other electrical installations
