Job summary

Regional Earth & Civil P/L is seeking a dedicated Civil Estimator/Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis in Cobram-Barooga. The role blends engineering expertise with estimating duties, influencing project profitability and client satisfaction across regional Victoria and NSW.

You will prepare cost estimates, manage tenders, inspect sites, and provide technical support throughout project lifecycles, while collaborating with project managers and suppliers to ensure accurate costing and

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a civil estimator or in a similar estimating role.
• Strong knowledge of civil and earthworks construction practices.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities for civil and earthworks projects of varying scales and complexity.
• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and site conditions to develop accurate tender submissions.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to inform estimating processes and identify risks or opportunities.
• Liaise with project managers, clients, and suppliers to gather information for costing.
• Utilise estimating software to develop, track, and maintain cost data and historical records.
• Provide technical engineering support during pre-contract and post-contract phases.
• Review tender documents and contractual terms for clarity and alignment with capabilities.
• Collaborate with operations and project management to monitor actual costs vs estimates.
