Job summary

Garbett Group Civil is seeking a capable estimator to join our growing civil construction team in Tweed Heads, NSW. You will support tendering, pricing, and submissions while working closely with PEs/PMs to win work.

Junior candidates welcome; qualification in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred. You will gain exposure to live sites and liaise with councils, consultants, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.

Job description

Our current estimator is heading off to start his own thing in a different industry so we're on the hunt for someone to step into the role and grow with us.

Garbett Group is a young, dynamic civil construction business working across education and commercial developments, subdivisions, stormwater, retaining structures, and reinstatement projects throughout the Northern Rivers region. We take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously, having fun and genuinely caring about the job is just part of how we operate.

You'll support tendering and estimating for civil projects, working alongside our PEs/PMs to price scope, prepare submissions, and help win work with the backing of an experienced team around you. Depending on experience, there's also scope to move into site-based project engineering, coordinating works, liaising with consultants and councils, and helping deliver projects from approval through to completion.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

Qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Some experience in civil construction or estimating is necessary, junior candidates are welcome to apply.

Strong attention to detail and comfortable working with drawings and specifications.

Good communication skills, you'll be liaising with engineers, councils, and subcontractors.

Proactive, easygoing attitude, strong work ethic and a genuine interest in doing good quality work.
