Job summary

ROUSSOS Recruitment is recruiting for a Civil Estimator with a growing South Australian civil contractor. The role involves interacting with senior estimators, reviewing tenders from first review to handover, and supporting the team on a range of public and private sector projects.

You will interpret drawings, perform take-offs, source quotes, assess risks, and assemble comprehensive tender submissions while collaborating with project teams and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or related discipline.
• Solid take-off and tendering skills.
• Strong numerical and cost-planning ability.

Responsibilities

• Interpreting drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Completing quantity take-offs and building up accurate estimates and cost plans.
• Sourcing and evaluating quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identifying project risks, opportunities and key requirements.
• Contributing to methodology and material selection decisions.

• Working with project teams, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process.
• Assisting with the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.

The Opportunity

ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering with a well-regarded South Australian civil contractor that is adding to its estimating team on the back of significant recent project wins.

Our client self-performs a broad range of civil and associated works, delivering projects for both public and private sector clients across a variety of industries.

The Role

Working closely with senior estimators and reporting to the head of the estimating function, you will be involved in tenders from first review through to handover.

Your responsibilities will include:
