WHITEPAGE CONSULTANCY PTY LTD in Toowoomba, QLD, is seeking a Civil Engineering Draftsperson to convert engineers' mark-ups into construction-ready drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and 12d Model, for stormwater, road and drainage schemes and site layouts.

The role requires at least 1 year of civil drafting experience and a relevant AQF qualification. It is a full-time, 38-hour week position with a salary of AU$75,000–$85,000 plus superannuation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as civil draftsperson or related drafting/design role.
• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in civil engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or 12d Model.

Responsibilities

• Convert engineers' mark-ups, survey data and project briefs into accurate, construction-ready civil drawings and 3D surface models.
• Draw stormwater drainage plans with pits, pipes, culverts and detention basins in line with standards.
• Prepare set-out tables, schedules and quantities for construction teams and estimators.
• Produce road and pavement drawings including alignments, cross sections and road markings.
• Draft site grading layouts, car parks and minor drainage under supervising engineer.
• Generate charts and long-section profiles to aid planning and sequencing of earthworks.
• Detail retaining walls, culverts and structural elements per standards and local requirements.
• Assemble drawing packages for submissions and revisions per reviewer comments.

EFPAC is now looking for a Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join its Toowoomba team, a role that will suit a careful, technically minded drafter who enjoys seeing drawings become finished works on the ground. Civil Engineering Draftsperson | EFPAC Group | Toowoomba, QLD Key Responsibilities

• Convert engineers' mark-ups, survey data and project briefs into accurate, construction-ready civil drawings and 3D surface models using AutoCAD Civil 3D, 12d Model or similar design software.
• Draw up stormwater drainage plans covering pits, pipes, culverts, overland flow paths and detention basins, with longitudinal sections and hydraulic grade lines prepared in line with the Queensland Urban Drainage Manual.
• Prepare set-out tables, pit and pipe schedules, cut and fill volumes, material quantities and other tabulated data that site crews, subcontractors and the estimating team rely on.
• Produce road and pavement drawings, including horizontal and vertical alignments, typical cross sections, kerb and channel, intersections, signage and line marking, for local streets, access roads and road upgrade works.
• Sketch concept options, site mark‑ups and clarification details, in the office or on site, so engineers and clients can weigh alternatives and site crews get quick answers to their queries.
• Draft water supply and sewerage reticulation plans and long sections showing mains, valves, hydrants, maintenance holes, property connections and separation from other services, in keeping with WSAA codes and local water authority requirements.
• Develop preliminary design layouts for site grading, car parks, driveways and minor drainage under the direction of the supervising engineer.
• Generate charts and graphical outputs such as long‑section profiles, mass haul diagrams and construction staging diagrams that help the team plan earthworks and the sequence of work.
• Detail retaining walls, headwalls, box culverts, footings, concrete slabs, hardstands, footpaths and other civil structures, with general arrangement and detail drawings as each job requires.
• Check every drawing against Australian Standards, Austroads and Department of Transport and Main Roads guidelines, IPWEAQ standard drawings and the relevant council requirements before it is issued.
• Assemble drawing packages for operational works applications, authority submissions and tenders, and revise them promptly in response to reviewer comments, keeping drawing registers and revision histories current.
• Support EFPAC's maintenance work by drafting condition, repair and rehabilitation drawings for existing drainage lines, pavements and structures, and compile as‑constructed drawings at the close of each project for handover to the asset owner.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 1 year of experience as a civil engineering draftsperson or in a closely related civil drafting or design role.
• An AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in civil engineering, civil construction design or a closely related field.
