Job summary

Skilled Jobs Australia is assisting a building group with residential, retail, commercial and industrial projects to find qualified civil engineer draftpersons. You will plan, design and organize construction for clients' civil engineering needs.

You will prepare sketches, charts and detailed drawings for drainage, water supply, sewerage systems and other civil works, estimate materials, inspect works and interpret instructions to ensure specifications and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• AQF associate degree or relevant Diploma; three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
• Proficient in civil design software.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sketches, charts, plans and designs for civil engineers such as drainage, water supply, sewerage systems and other structures.
• Prepares detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering work
• Estimating material costs and ensure the materials are within specifications.
• Inspecting civil engineering works, and organise maintenance and repair work
• Interpreting work assignment instructions
