Job summary

WSP in Australia is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Gold Coast team on local water projects. You will deliver civil designs across the full lifecycle, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project milestones.

The role emphasizes design management, quality documentation, and a strong grasp of Australian Standards and WSAA codes. Hybrid work options are available and growth opportunities abound.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Civil Engineer (or equivalent).
• 3–7+ years’ experience in consultancy, ideally with water and wastewater infrastructure design.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and WSAA codes.
• Experience in design management and detailed design delivery.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D and a passion for digital engineering.
• Understanding of Safety in Design principles.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver civil designs across the full project lifecycle—bringing technical precision and creativity to every stage
• Produce and review high-quality documentation, ensuring clarity and compliance with industry standards
• Lead or support design management for diverse water and wastewater projects and program work packages
• Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects, working with structural, mechanical, and environmental teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Contribute to proposals and pursuits, helping secure exciting new projects

What We’re Looking For

• Degree-qualified Civil Engineer (or equivalent)
• 3 - 7+ years’ experience in consultancy, ideally with water and wastewater infrastructure design
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and WSAA codes
• Experience in design management and detailed design delivery
• Familiarity with Civil 3D and a passion for digital engineering
• Understanding of Safety in Design principles
• Ability to communicate effectively and thrive in a team environment
• Bonus: Experience in Design & Construction projects
