WSP Townsville is seeking an Associate or Senior Civil Engineer to join our Water Utilities team on local water projects. You will deliver civil designs across the project lifecycle, review documentation, and lead design management for water and wastewater initiatives.

With 8+ years’ consultancy experience, you’ll work with multi-disciplinary teams, apply Australian Standards and WSAA codes, and contribute to ambitious projects in Queensland while enjoying hybrid work options and career

Formación

• 8+ years’ experience in consultancy for water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and WSAA codes.
• Experience in design management and detailed design delivery.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D and digital engineering.
• Understanding of Safety in Design principles.
• Chartered status (or working towards it) is highly regarded.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Bonus: experience in Design & Construction projects.

About the Role

Big things are happening in water—and we want you to be part of it! With major projects underway and new opportunities on the horizon, we’re looking for an Associate or Senior Civil Engineer to join our Townsville office and work on local water projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Deliver civil designs across the full project lifecycle—bringing technical precision and creativity to each stage.
• Produce and review high-quality documentation, ensuring clarity and compliance with industry standards.
• Lead or support design management for diverse water and wastewater projects and program work packages.
• Collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects, working with structural, mechanical and environmental teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to proposals and pursuits, helping secure exciting new projects.

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years’ experience in consultancy, ideally with water and wastewater infrastructure design.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and WSAA codes.
• Experience in design management and detailed design delivery.
• Familiarity with Civil 3D and a passion for digital engineering.
• Understanding of Safety in Design principles.
• Chartered status (or working towards it) highly regarded.
• Ability to communicate effectively and thrive in a team environment.
• Bonus: Experience in Design & Construction projects.
