Job summary

Amey Australia is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to contribute to urban, infrastructure and regional development projects in Queensland. You’ll work with experienced engineers from concept design through construction, developing technical expertise, building client relationships and taking ownership of your work.

You’ll tackle a broad range of civil engineering challenges, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver practical, high‑quality solutions for clients across Queensland

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 2–5 years in a civil engineering consulting environment.
• Experience delivering civil design solutions across urban development, local government or infrastructure.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD and 12d; drainage and modelling software is highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of Australian design standards and documentation requirements.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering designs, drawings and documentation for urban and infrastructure projects.
• Undertake engineering calculations, technical assessments and report writing.
• Support project delivery through all stages, from concept design to construction.
• Assist with project and design management activities, including planning, coordination and delivery.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Liaise directly with clients, contractors, stakeholders and relevant authorities.
• Deliver high-quality, accurate and compliant engineering outcomes.
• Manage priorities across multiple projects while identifying and communicating risks early.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovative engineering solutions.
