Job summary

Altrad is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join the team and support the Design Authority’s technical capability for civil/structural design in a nuclear/high‑risk environment. The role focuses on infrastructure design assessment, safety considerations, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.

Ideal candidates will have a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, Incorporated engineer status or equivalent, and hands-on experience with reinforced concrete and steel structures under

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural engineering.
• Incorporated engineer (or equivalent) required or demonstrated.
• Experience with reinforced concrete and steel structures in high-hazard environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess design packages for infrastructure with technical rigor.
• Specify reliability and safety constraints for infrastructure.
• Review maintenance work procedures for infrastructure.
• Assess infrastructure design, materials state, ageing mechanisms.
• Support safety and security culture in project delivery.
• Ensure safety-related outputs meet contract requirements as intelligent customer.
