Job summary

People8 is seeking a skilled Civil Drafter to join an established Brisbane civil/structural consultancy. You will produce high-quality civil drawings and construction docs for diverse building developments in commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.

Work closely with civil and structural engineers, and other disciplines in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment to ensure design intent is delivered on time and to Australian standards.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated civil drafting experience within an engineering consultancy.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD to produce accurate drawings and construction documentation.
• Ability to interpret engineering designs, survey information and specs for drafting.
• Experience coordinating with civil engineers, designers and other disciplines.

People8 has partnered with an established Brisbane-based engineering consultancy to recruit a Civil Drafter within its Built Environment division.

Our client provides civil and structural engineering services across residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use developments, delivering practical and efficient engineering solutions.

This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented Civil Drafter who enjoys producing high-quality technical drawings, working closely with engineers and contributing to the successful delivery of building development projects.

Requirements

• Demonstrated civil drafting experience within an engineering consultancy, ideally across commercial, residential, industrial or mixed-use building developments.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to produce accurate civil engineering drawings, detailed layouts, plans, sections and construction documentation.
• Experience preparing civil drawings for bulk earthworks, site grading, stormwater drainage, on-site detention, pavement layouts, car parks, access roads and associated site infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret engineering designs, survey information, technical specifications and design mark-ups to prepare detailed civil drafting documentation.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards, local council requirements and civil engineering drafting conventions, ensuring accuracy and consistency across drawing packages.
• Experience coordinating with civil engineers, designers, structural engineers and other disciplines to incorporate design changes and resolve drafting issues.
• Strong attention to detail, drawing management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple drafting tasks, meet project deadlines and maintain quality documentation.
