Job summary

RecruitR is seeking a Civil Drafter to join one of the region's most established consultancies in the development sector. You will be welcomed into a supportive team with on-the-job guidance from experienced drafters, designers and engineers, plus formal software training as required.

Key duties include using AutoCAD to prepare technical drawings, liaising with senior staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards, updating drawings, and maintaining document templates.

Qualifications

• Relevant civil engineering/cad qualifications.
• At least 1-3 years experience+ in civil drafting for civil urban infrastructure/land development projects; prior experience within south east Queensland projects is essential
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail - quality focus

Responsibilities

• Using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, to prepare technical drawings.
• Liaise with Senior Drafters and Engineers.
• Ensure final documents comply with regulations and quality standards.
• Review and identify potential construction issues from construction drawings.
• Working with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings to meet their specifications.
• Ensuring all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards.
• Updating existing drawings as new information becomes available.
• Maintaining a library of standard drawing templates.
• Preparing and maintaining document transmittals.

What is the Role - Civil Drafter

Joining this highly committed team, you will be welcomed into the family with support and ongoing training, both on the job from other experienced and committed drafters, designers and engineers, in addition to formal software and/or market place training as required.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, to prepare technical drawings.
• Keeping time sheets and recording time on tasks.
• Liaise with Senior Drafters and Engineers.
• Ensure final documents comply with regulations and quality standards.
• Review and identify potential construction issues from construction drawings.
• Working with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings to meet their specifications.
• Ensuring all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards.
