Job summary

McMurtrie Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd in Bundaberg, QLD, is seeking a Civil Engineer Drafter to develop drafting and 3D design skills while working alongside experienced designers.

You will build design drawings using AutoCAD, learn Civil 3D and 12D modelling, contribute to urban development and road projects, and grow toward becoming a civil designer.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil design and drafting from concept to detailed design.
• Sound knowledge of engineering principles and drafting presentations and standards.
• Strong ability to use AutoCAD; basic understanding of Civil 3d and/or 12d modelling is beneficial.
• Good time management skills and ability to multi-task.
• Attention to detail and pride in one’s work.

Responsibilities

• Complete design/drafting work as directed (including urban development, road and stormwater drainage).
• Preparation and presentation of plans and documents as well as digital data suitable for client submissions
• Copying of plans and documents as well as the compilation of reports
• Interpreting engineering sketches and specifications.
• Maintaining drawing standards and consistency.
• Creating technical drawings using AUTOCAD software.
• Creating design models using 12D software.
• Adhering to project schedules and deadlines.
• Conduct Site Inspections.

Position: Civil Engineer Drafter Location: Bundaberg, QLD Salary Range: 76K - 80K Job Type: Full Time | 38 hours/week

The role entails working alongside experienced designers and learning both drafting and 3d design skills with a view to becoming a civil designer over a number of years. Strong AutoCAD knowledge is a must.

Key Responsibilities:
