Job summary
Programmed Maintenance Services – Mackay QLD offers Civil Construction Traineeships hosted with RoadTek, providing mentoring and practical site experience in bridge and road construction and maintenance.
You will rotate on a day/night roster, working outdoors in a physically demanding environment. The program includes ongoing coaching and a Nationally recognised Certificate III in Civil Construction - Structures or Road Construction Maintenance, with above award pay and potential overtime.
Qualifications
- Nationally recognised qualification - Certificate III in Civil Construction - Structures or Road Construction Maintenance (RII30920) required/beneficial.
- Mandatory: Construction White Card.
- Mandatory: Current Drivers Licence and reliable transport.
- Flexible to work rosters including days and night shifts, and 10 days on/4 days off.
Responsibilities
- Learn to Maintain and Rehabilitate Bridges/Structures.
- Learn to Construct and Rehabilitate Roads and Road Furniture, including Road Marking.
- Plan and organise work, carry out measurements and calculations.
- Communicate in the workplace and use hand and power tools.
- Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
