Job summary

Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships is recruiting Civil Construction Trainees in Mackay, Queensland, to undertake Bridge and Road Construction and Maintenance with RoadTek. Trainees will work outdoors, on a roster, in a physically demanding environment, with mentoring and training to achieve a Nationally recognised Certificate III in Civil Construction.

You will be hosted by a major civil construction company, gain hands-on experience, and progress through practical and theoretical

Qualifications

• Construction White Card (can be completed online before commencing).
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• Flexible to work a roster of days and night work.
• Willingness to relocate/work away on a roster (10 days on, 4 days off).
• Commitment to completing Certificate III in Civil Construction RII30920.

Responsibilities

• Learn to Maintain and Rehabilitate Bridges/Structures.
• Learn to Construct and Rehabilitate Roads and Road Furniture.
• Plan and organise work with supervision.
• Carry out measurements and calculations.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Meet safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
