Job summary

Baw Baw Shire Council is seeking a Construction Supervisor within the Infrastructure Delivery & Major Projects team. You will lead the construction of roads, earthworks and drainage, ensuring compliance with approved plans and standards.

The role requires a tertiary engineering qualification eligible for registration and strong contract management experience in civil construction. Hybrid work arrangements are available, with an attractive Band 6 salary package.

Qualifications

Tertiary engineering qualification eligible for registration under the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019.
Extensive civil construction supervision experience and strong contract management knowledge.

Responsibilities

Undertake daily inspections to ensure contractors follow industry practices.
Monitor and assess construction activities for compliance with specs and standards.
Resolve construction issues with consultants and contractors.
Carry out Practical and Final Completion inspections and document results.
Assist in developing and refining construction specifications and drawings.
