Job summary

Transport for NSW offers a 3 year fixed-term, full-time Apprenticeship in Civil Construction (Road Construction and Maintenance) with structured in-person classes at TAFE in Mardi. You will gain practical, on-the-job experience while earning a national qualification.

No prior experience is required; successful applicants will join a growing NSW Government program with clear career pathways and development opportunities, commencing March 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident.
• Completed Year 10 or hold a RoSA or equivalent.
• Ready to commence full-time employment in March 2027.
• Hold, or are in the process of obtaining, a C Class driver licence.
• Have access to reliable transport to travel to the office or depot.
• Willing to travel as part of your role.
• Basic computer literacy skills.
• Demonstrate teamwork and maintain a positive, accountable approach.
• Take pride in delivering your best across school, work, and life.
• Proactively seek opportunities to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Earn while you learn, combining paid work with structured training to develop practical, in‑demand skills for a career in civil construction.
• No previous experience required; receive hands-on experience and training while working toward a nationally recognised qualification.
• This Civil Construction Apprenticeship program will be based in Mardi, commencing in March 2027, with Transport for NSW.
