Job summary

McMahon Services is looking for an experienced Site Manager – Civil & Concrete to join our Engineering & Projects team. This hands-on leadership role focuses on day-to-day site delivery, coordinating crews, subcontractors, plant, materials and work fronts while maintaining safety, quality and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering civil and/or concrete construction works.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of civil and concrete construction works.
• Manage site activities, work fronts, crews and subcontractors.
• Coordinate labour, plant, equipment and materials.
• Drive short-term programmes and daily construction priorities.
• Monitor progress against project programmes and milestones.
• Coordinate concrete works including preparation, reinforcement, formwork interfaces, pours and associated civil activities.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Review project drawings, designs and site documentation.
• Maintain accurate site diaries and communicate progress to the project team.
• Monitor site costs and support efficient use of labour, plant and materials.
• Identify potential delays, variations and EOTs and communicate these early.
• Work collaboratively with Project Managers and Engineers to resolve construction issues.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works meet quality and contractual requirements.
• Build strong relationships with clients and site stakeholders.
• Lead pre-starts, toolbox meetings and site safety activities.
• Drive strong WHSEQ performance and a positive safety culture.
• Mentor, motivate and support site personnel and subcontractors.
