Job summary

City of Adelaide is seeking a Major Event Facilitator to coordinate a city-wide calendar of major outdoor events across Council Park Lands, roads and facilities. You will build strong relationships with event organisers and stakeholders to ensure events comply with relevant legislation and Council policies.

The role focuses on delivering a sustainable, solution-oriented approach, supporting customers to identify opportunities to magnify existing events and establish new ones, while growing

Qualifications

• Significant understanding of events procedures, processes, policies and legislation.
• Ability to build positive relationships and consult with all levels of management and stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with deadline setting and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the annual city-wide calendar of major outdoor events on Council Park Lands, roads and facilities.
• Develop collaborative relationships with event organisers and stakeholders to ensure compliant events.
• Provide guidance and support to customers and stakeholders to identify opportunities for new events and growth of Adelaide's cultural landscape.
