Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in waste management or environmental services is a plus

Responsibilities

• Leading the development and implementation of waste management strategies for the community in line with statutory requirements
• Ensuring the proper collection, recycling, and disposal of waste via kerbside collection and transfer stations
• Monitoring compliance with local regulations, EPA guidelines and waste disposal policies
• Collaborating with local businesses, residents, and environmental groups to promote sustainable practices
• Tracking waste reduction progress and providing detailed reports to local government officials
• Educating the public on proper waste disposal techniques and the importance of recycling
