Description

It's nearly the most magical time of the year! For those of us who live and breathe retail, our preparations have started, and we know for a fact that Santa's workshop is already in full swing. Now is your opportunity to be part of Pillow Talk, by joining us in these highly exciting Christmas Casual Retail Sales Assistant roles at our Mackay store.

We are now looking for additional team members across the country to help us bring the Christmas spirit alive. Anyone can offer you a job at Christmas, but we've got something else in mind - JOY! It's not about how much you know about linen, homewares, or bedding (we can teach you that!), it's about you, and your unwavering passion to delight every customer you engage!

A bit about you

• You're full of personality and confidence, and can quickly develop interpersonal connections with customers and colleagues
• You have the ability to multitask and cope with changing priorities and all the curveballs that retail can throw at you
• You have great availability for work across the seven days of the week, and most importantly our busy weekends
• Great listening skills and problem-solving skills to help our customers find the perfect home gift idea for their loved ones (comfort really is the gift that keeps on giving!)
• This role will be a maximum-term contract and therefore, you must be available from now until 24th January 2027

Why we think you should merrily accept a role with us this Christmas

• Unpacking all the new Christmas decorations and summer stock (seriously, we'd show up just for this!)
• Helping customers pull together decorative looks for the Christmas season trees, table settings, bedrooms, lounge rooms and more (no corner of the home is off limits when it comes to Christmas)
• Opportunity to put us to the test as an employer - maybe this role has always been for you, and you've just been waiting for the chance to test it out! For the last two years we've kept around 58% of our Christmas team
• At the end of the gig, you'll enjoy a one-time generous discount as a parting gift. And if you'd like to treat yourself more often, just ask us how!
• Retail Employee Level 1 Hourly Rate + Monthly Incentives
• Experience the advantages of our Flare partnership-Novated Leasing and a host of other benefits await!
• Passionate, knowledgeable and friendly in store team who will help you develop everyday
• 100% Australian owned and operated company, family values and a sense of belonging
• One of the largest linen and homewares specialists in the country

Our business is in a good place right now, but where we are going is even better! For your chance to join the Pillow Talk Tribe

We are a Circle Back Initiative employer, which means we commit to responding to every person who expresses interest in working for us.

Pillow Talk are dedicated to equal opportunities for all and we aim to ensure no job applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment because of, or is disadvantaged by, any conditions or requirements that aren't justifiable, therefore please do let us know if you need any reasonable adjustments made ahead of your interview.
