Job summary

Anglicare Sydney is seeking a Food and Toy Coordinator to support the Toys 'n' Tucker Christmas program from our Minchinbury warehouse. This 6-week contract runs from 2 November to 18 December, coordinating daily sorting and packing of donated food and toys and assisting volunteers to ensure hampers and gifts are prepared with care.

You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Manager to maintain a safe, organised environment and uphold quality by checking expiry dates and prioritising tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate activities and provide clear guidance to volunteers.
• Caring, compassionate and collaborative approach to working with people from diverse backgrounds.
• A valid Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the sorting, packing and preparation of donated food and toys for distribution to families experiencing hardship.
• Support, guide and supervise volunteers, providing clear instructions, inductions and ongoing communication.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient daily operations and the timely preparation of Christmas hampers.
• Maintain quality standards by ensuring food donations are appropriately sorted, checked and prioritised according to expiry dates.
• Promote a positive, safe and inclusive working environment, including delivering workplace safety briefings when required.
