Job summary

Foxleigh Mine is seeking an experienced CHPP Operator/Maintainer – Electrical to join our owner-operated coal handling and preparation plant team. You will aim to set new reliability and safety standards while delivering consistent PCI coal production.

We value a strong safety mindset and experience in fixed plant operations with the required licences and competency. The role includes a camp accommodation option and a competitive salary package on a 7/7 day/night roster.

Qualifications

• Electrical Fitter Licence (QLD) and relevant site qualifications/competencies.
• HV Switching competency.
• RIIPRO301D – Conduct crushing and screening plant operations.
• RIIPRO302D – Perform processing control room operations.
• RIISAM208D – Perform plant operational maintenance.
• RIIWBP203D – Treat and dispose of rejects and tailings.
• RIIMCP301D – Monitor coal preparation plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CHPP to deliver high-quality PCI coal per production targets.
• Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance, and minor breakdowns to keep the plant reliable.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment across CHPP, Train Loadout, and Yard.
• Drive site-specific improvements with the team to enhance safety, performance and efficiency.
• Adhere to site safety, health and environmental standards.

Foxleigh Mine is located 15km south of Middlemount and approx. 275km northwest of Rockhampton. The mine is in its 26th year of operation producing premium PCI metallurgical coal for use in steel manufacturing. • Operate and monitor Foxleigh's CHPP to deliver consistent, high-quality PCI coal in line with production targets.
• Carry out inspections, preventative maintenance, and attend to minor breakdowns, using your skills and experience to be resourceful and keep the plant running reliably.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment across the CHPP, Train Loadout, and Yard, showing care and respect for your teammates, equipment, and the environment.
• Work closely with a tight-knit team to drive practical, site-specific improvements that enhance safety, performance, and efficiency.
• Adhere to site safety, health, and environmental standards.
