Job summary

Peabody is seeking an experienced CHPP Supervisor to lead the CHPP operations team at the Centurion underground mine, near Mackay. You will drive safe, efficient and reliable plant performance while mentoring a high-performing team and ensuring production and quality targets are met.

You will implement process improvements, manage plant downtime, and collaborate with Mining, Maintenance and Logistics to maximise throughput.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated CHPP operational and supervisory experience.
• Trade qualification in Mechanical or Electrical or similar preferred.
• Strong understanding of CHPP processes and coal preparation.
• Experience leading teams within mining/processing or heavy industrial environments.
• Proven ability to safely deliver production and quality targets.
• Strong commitment to safety and fostering a positive safety culture.
• Sound knowledge of risk management and hazard identification processes.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching and team development capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the CHPP operations team, ensuring safe execution of daily activities.
• Drive a strong safety culture through risk management, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate CHPP production activities to achieve throughput, yield and product quality targets.
• Manage plant breakdowns and troubleshooting to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
• Develop, coach and mentor team members to build capability and drive high performance.
• Ensure effective contractor management and compliance with site standards.
• Collaborate with Mining, Maintenance and Logistics to maximise efficiency.
• Monitor water systems and process performance across the CHPP.
• Maintain accurate shift reports, operational records and production data.
