Job summary

Anglo American is seeking a CHPP Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor in Queensland to lead maintenance activities safely and efficiently at Capcoal Mine, Middlemount. You will drive reliability and availability of plant equipment, prioritise emergent work, and collaborate with the CHPP team to sustain operational capability.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem-solving, and a strong safety culture, with residential/FIFO options and a competitive salary package.

Qualifications

• Trade or engineering background (mechanical trade).
• Experience in CHPP or Processing Plant Operations (or similar).
• Current S123 and G2.
• Knowledge of Coal Mining Safety Act & legislation and its application.
• Microsoft Office and Maintenance Management Systems (SAP or similar).
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate various projects.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
• Strong safety focus with the ability to promote safety.
• Team-oriented and focused on raising colleagues' skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
• Ability to embrace new ideas and change.
