Job summary

Whitehaven Coal is seeking a CHPP Coordinator at Narrabri Operations, located about 60 minutes from Gunnedah. You will coordinate CHPP Electrical function, manage budgets, and maintain management systems and plans.

Reporting to the CHPP Superintendent, you will implement electrical work scopes, support shutdowns, and contribute to cost control and continuous improvement within a safety‑driven, STRIVE‑valued culture.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification (Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician) is essential.
• Post-trade qualifications (diploma, advanced diploma or bachelor’s degree) are desirable.
• Strong commitment to safety and a continuous improvement culture.

Responsibilities

• Prepare plans for electrical tasks to maintain CHPP compliance and scheduled work orders.
• Maintain change management and site policies.
• Maintain equipment lifecycle program for maintenance, spares and budget alignment.
• Participate in monthly cost reviews with CHPP Superintendent and management team.
• Contribute to electrical engineering work scopes for shutdowns and new equipment specs.
