Johnson Controls, Inc. in Perth is seeking a Service Team Leader – Chillers to lead a skilled team of Technicians while staying hands-on with complex HVAC work.

You will drive service excellence, oversee maintenance, repair, and commissioning, and mentor apprentices and subcontractors. Qualifications

• Trade qualification in HVAC/Refrigeration
• Minimum 5 years' relevant industry experience (or 7 years without formal qualification)
• Experience working on centrifugal, screw, or large commercial chillers
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory capability
• Commercial awareness and sound business acumen
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Chiller Technicians, apprentices, and subcontractors
• Drive operational excellence across maintenance, repair, retrofit, and service activities
• Provide senior-level technical expertise on YORK Chillers and related HVAC systems
• Perform and oversee commissioning, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance
• Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery
• Support service project planning, scheduling, estimating, and resource allocation
• Manage customer accounts and contribute to business growth initiatives
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and industry standards
• Partner with the Service Team Manager to support branch performance and operational goals

The Opportunity

As Service Team Leader, you'll be responsible for driving service excellence, supporting your team, and ensuring customers receive exceptional outcomes. You'll combine technical expertise, people leadership, and operational oversight to deliver safe, efficient, and profitable service operations.

Key Responsibilities
