Job summary

Burwood Council is seeking a part-time Children’s and Youth Services Librarian to support high-quality services for children and young people. The role is based in a central, modern Burwood office with Wednesday–Friday hours and additional Sunday shifts.

The position requires a LIS degree (ALIA recognised) or near completion, a current Working with Children Check, and readiness to complete health assessments and a police check. Join a diverse, community-focused library team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Library and Information Studies or close to completing (ALIA recognised).
• Current Working with Children Check clearance.
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment health assessment.
• Willingness to obtain a national police check.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality, customer-focused services, programs and collections for children and young adults.
• Collaborate with the Library and Community Hub team to ensure outstanding customer experiences and access to services, programs and events.
