Job summary

Workforce One is offering a childcare trainee position at the Prestons Centre in NSW. You will assist experienced educators, support children aged 0–5, and gain hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised traineeship in early childhood education and care.

Qualifications

• Interest in childcare, early childhood education.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn.
• Teamwork and strong communication skills.
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Ability to travel reliably to and from the Prestons Centre

Responsibilities

• Supporting educators in daily childcare programs
• Assisting with child observations and documentation, including eating and sleeping charts, parent communications, and photography
• Helping prepare and implement engaging lessons and activities
• Assisting with enrollment paperwork as needed
• Floating between rooms as your skills grow, gaining experience across different age groups
• Participating in training and professional development sessions
• Following Workplace Health & Safety procedures
