Job summary

Kool Beanz on the Gold Coast is opening a brand-new service and seeks an experienced Centre Cook to design and prepare nutritious meals for children from 6 weeks to 6 years in a safe, hygienic kitchen. You will work within Australian Dietary Guidelines and collaborate with the Centre Director and team.

This part-time role offers no night or weekend shifts, generous childcare discounts, and permanent hours. Experience with childcare cooking and dietary requirements is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for large groups/children (desirable).
• Ability to manage dietary/allergy requirements and budget.
• Maintain a clean workstation and adhere to food safety guidelines.
• Knowledge of Australian Dietary Guidelines and food regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious meals for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
• Create menus meeting 50% of daily food group requirements.
• Accommodate individual dietary needs (medical/cultural).
• Organise supplier orders and weekly shopping under supervision.
• Assist with budgeting and cost reporting.
• Present visually appealing meals for all snacks and meals.
• Prepare ingredients list and share with families via online platform.
• Collaborate with other chefs to meet nutritional needs of children.
