Seek is seeking a dedicated Centre Director / Nominated Supervisor to lead a boutique Early Learning service in Gosford. The role focuses on people, compliance, families, quality, occupancy and centre performance, supported by a 2IC and Educational Leader.

You will drive daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, nurture a strong team, and foster partnerships with families and the local community, while delivering an outstanding learning environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Experience as Centre Manager or Nominated Supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQF and NQS.
• Proven leadership and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall operation, performance and culture of the centre, including staffing and parent communication.
• Ensure service compliance with the National Quality Framework and regulations.
• Maintain child-safe culture and high health and safety standards.
• Lead, support and develop the leadership team and educators.
• Oversee recruitment, induction, performance management and staff retention.
• Manage staffing rosters, qualifications and regulatory requirements.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and the local community.
• Monitor occupancy, enrolments and centre growth; support growth strategies.
• Lead the Quality Improvement Plan and maintain Assessment & Rating readiness.

This is a full-time, off-the-floor leadership position within a well-established, modern, medium-to-large-sized boutique Early Learning service in Gosford - Central Coast Area. The Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor is supported by a 2IC and EL who provides hands-on leadership across the floor, allowing the Director to focus on people, compliance, families, quality, occupancy and overall centre performance.

The Centre Director/Nominated Supervisor is supported by a 2IC and EL who provides hands-on leadership across the floor, allowing the Director to focus on people, compliance, families, quality, occupancy and overall centre performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall operation, performance and culture of the centre, oversee daily centre operations, including staffing, ratios, budgets, and parent communication

• Ensure the service operates in compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations

• Maintain a strong child-safe culture and ensure high standards of supervision, health and safety

• Lead, support and develop the 2IC, Educational Leader, Room Leaders and educators

• Manage recruitment, induction, performance management, staff development and retention

• Oversee staffing levels, permanent rosters, qualifications and regulatory requirements

• Build strong, professional relationships with children, families and the local community

• Monitor occupancy, enrolments, enquiries and centre tours, and actively support centre growth

• Lead the Quality Improvement Plan and maintain ongoing Assessment & Rating readiness

About you

This role suits a confident Centre Manager or Nominated Supervisor who can take ownership of daily operations and lead a team effectively.

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education and Care

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Care is preferred

• Experience as a Centre Manager or Nominated Supervisor

• 3+ years' experience as a Centre Manager or Nominated Supervisor is preferred

• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQF, and NQS

• Experience with Assessment & Rating and Quality Improvement Plans

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to build a stable and positive team environment
