Raising Stars Early Learning Centre in Leppington, NSW is seeking a dedicated Centre Chef / Cook and Kitchen Assistant to prepare nutritious meals for children and support the daily kitchen operations on site.

We are looking for passionate and motivated Centre Chef / Cook and Kitchen Assistant to come and join our brand new Leppington centre to provide healthy and nutritious meals to the children in our care.

Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary guidelines and any specific dietary requirements or allergies.

Ensure health and safety guidelines are adhered to in the kitchen, including food preparation and servicing areas.

Maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensuring that general day to day procedures are followed.

Manage inventory, order food supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.

Collaborate with the centre director and staff to develop menus that meet the nutritional needs of children.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and Centre's policies.

What you will bring:

Experience as a cook, preferably in a childcare or school setting.

Knowledge of child nutrition and dietary needs.

Strong organization and time management skills.

Valid Working with Children Check and Police Check (can be easily done online).

Food Safety Supervisor certificate.
