Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking a dedicated Casework Support Worker to assist children, families and carers within a safe, culturally responsive framework.

The role is full-time (35 hours/week) on a contract till June 2027 with potential extension, based at North Parramatta with travel across the Greater Sydney region. You’ll organise family time, arrange respite placements and support casework tasks while building professional confidence in PSP settings.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Community Services or equivalent in progress.
• Passion for keeping children safe and connected to family and community.
• Willingness to travel across Greater Sydney region to support families.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support culturally safe family time.
• Arrange respite placements and provide transport for children and young people.
• Assist in completing basic casework tasks, notes and visits.
• Help facilitate connections between children and their kin, community and culture.
• Collaborate with Caseworkers and clinical team on support plans.
• Provide support during placement changes or breakdowns and ensure smooth transitions.
• Maintain accurate records and meet administrative requirements.
• Occasionally cover for Caseworkers when needed.
• Travel across Greater Sydney to engage with families in person.
