Job summary

Uniting is seeking a compassionate Caseworker to join the CAFS Family Support team in Campbelltown NSW. You will work with children, young people and families, delivering targeted, intensive support to improve wellbeing and safety, building resilience and navigating services for long-term stability.

You'll identify strengths, create action plans, advocate for families, and connect them with community supports while contributing to early intervention and positive change within a values-driven,

Qualifications

• A qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, Community Services or a related discipline.
• Experience working with children, young people and families.
• Understanding of child protection, family wellbeing and early intervention principles.
• Strong communication, assessment and case management skills.
• Demonstrate cultural competence with First Nations families and CALD communities.
• Current NSW WWCC and driver’s licence; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with families experiencing complex challenges.
• Deliver strengths-based, culturally responsive casework services.
• Support child safety, wellbeing and positive family outcomes.
• Conduct family assessments and develop child-focused goals.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, carers and community services.
• Advocate for families and connect them with appropriate supports.
• Assist with parenting groups and supported playgroups.
• Be part of a passionate team committed to early intervention and positive change.
