Job summary

AHS Nursing Agency is seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker to support a male child in Sydney, with a focus on safety, independence, and community participation. The role requires patient, calm communication and ability to provide personal care and mobility assistance, with close collaboration with families and care teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Disability Support Worker.
• Experience supporting children with Autism, sensory needs, or vision impairments.
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• NDIS Workers Screening Check.
• First Aid & CPR Certificate.
• Full Australian driver’s licence and own car.
• Female (preference).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support.
• Assist with domestic tasks and routine activities.
• Support community access and participation.
• Encourage safe mobility and confidence during walks.
• Help the participant maintain independence in daily routines.
• Collaborate with family and care team; document care plans.
