Job summary

Jenny’s ELC in Geelong is seeking a Childcare Centre Cook to nourish young minds with nutritious meals. You’ll work in a standalone kitchen, following seasonal menus and have the freedom to add your own creative twist while meeting dietary and allergen requirements.

You will thrive in a warm, supportive team, with opportunities for professional development. A current Working With Children Check and Food Safety supervision are expected as part of joining our family.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with dietary, nutritional and allergen requirements.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Current Employee Working With Children Check.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are searching for a committed and dedicated Childcare Centre Cook - a kitchen mastermind excited about the opportunity to nourish our little ones with delightful and nutritious meals, to work as part of a positive and supportive team and who is well versed in dietary, nutritional and allergen requirements.

Working within a standalone kitchen, you will create and provide well-presented and nutritiously delightful meals and snacks for our children. The role is supported by tried and tested seasonal menus based on professional advice and allows you the opportunity to add your own unique twist to it.

ABOUT YOU:

• Warm and friendly personality.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Awareness and/or experience in allergen requirements.
• Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a wider team.
• A current employee Working With Children Check.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain if succesful)
