Job summary

David Scott School, part of Brotherhood of St Laurence, in Frankston, VIC, Australia, is seeking a permanent full-time Head of Wellbeing and Engagement to lead a schoolwide, student-centred wellbeing strategy aligned with our educational model.

You will collaborate with the Principal and leadership team to design, implement and evaluate dynamic wellbeing programs, report data to the School Board, and ensure safety and consistency across all wellbeing policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor qualification and/or specialist/post graduate qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Education with a specialisation in Wellbeing.
• Hold (or be willing) to obtain full registration with the requisite professional body where applicable.
• Demonstrated experience in an educational leadership role delivering flexible and innovative wellbeing programs and services.
• Demonstrated capacity to build and supervise a specialist team within a multidisciplinary context.
• Ability to undertake or direct educational and wellbeing assessments and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to develop student support plans.
• High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills including ability to develop strong relationships with external stakeholders and negotiate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective provision of wellbeing and engagement services to students and families by fostering relationships between WB&E staff and other school domains.
• Lead the implementation and evaluation of student-centred, dynamic WB&E curriculum and programs, providing timely data and reports.
• Contribute to development and review of WB&E policies and practices and oversee application for consistency and safety.
