Job summary

CHC Australia in Canberra is seeking a senior Head of People & Culture to lead the people agenda through a period of growth and transformation. You will report to the CEO as part of the Executive Team and shape the workforce strategy with practical, hands-on delivery.

This is a senior leadership role requiring credibility with the Executive Team, sound judgement, and a pragmatic approach to culture, engagement, talent, and governance. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Extensive generalist HR leadership experience, ideally through growth or transformation.
• Commercial acumen, executive credibility and the confidence to constructively challenge.
• Strong operational HR capability and a pragmatic, sleeves-rolled-up approach.
• The ability to build trust at every level while balancing pace, risk and organisational values.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional membership of AHRI will be highly regarded.

• Lead a broad People & Culture function, translating organisational strategy into workforce priorities that are commercially grounded, compliant and deliverable.
• Organisational design, workforce planning and capability development
• Trusted strategic advice to the CEO, Board and Executive Team
• Culture, engagement, talent acquisition, succession and leadership development
• Employee and industrial relations, performance and remuneration
• HR governance, systems, workforce reporting, compliance and people risk
• Coaching leaders, resolving complex people matters and delivering change across the business
