Job summary

DJAARA is seeking an experienced Chief Operations Officer to join the Group Executive Leadership Team and drive organisational priorities for the DJAARA. You will lead People & Capability, IT, Creative Hub and Events & Venues to support strategic direction and outcomes.

You will translate strategy into action, develop managers, and partner with the CEO and Board to ensure performance, governance and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Management or HR.
• Significant senior executive experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong financial and operational acumen.
• Governance, risk management and compliance.
• Commitment to Aboriginal self-determination and cultural safety.
• Knowledge of Aboriginal governance or Treaty is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Lead People & Capability, Information Technology, Creative Hub and Events & Venues.
• Oversee planning, performance and governance across portfolio.
• Support and develop managers; drive organisational initiatives.
