Greenfields Executive Recruitment & Search – Sydney NSW is seeking a Head of Legal to own the legal, governance, risk and compliance function and redesign how it is delivered. You will drive the technology stack and adoption across the function, automate contracts, and deploy AI with guardrails to support customer outcomes.

This senior, commercial role will lead privacy and data obligations, manage regulator matters, and build fit-for-purpose frameworks for a digital, online retail environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with broad remit across legal, governance, risk and compliance.
• Experience selecting, implementing or governing technology in a legal/compliance function.
• Strong ACL experience and online/digital sales exposure valued.

Responsabilités

• Own the legal, governance, risk and compliance function and redesign how work is delivered.
• Lead the technology stack, automation of contract workflows and reporting.
• Deploy AI with safeguards for first-pass drafting, monitoring and triage.
• Build fit-for-purpose governance, risk and compliance frameworks sized to the business.
• Oversee privacy/data obligations and regulator interactions.
• Lead and develop a small legal/compliance team.
