Job summary

Hofmann Engineering Pty Ltd in Perth, Western Australia, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join the executive team. This onsite-only, full-time role leads transformation across financial systems, governance, and reporting, guiding investment decisions and strategic direction.

The CFO will partner with the MD/Board, shaping capital planning, risk, and performance analytics. CA/CPA qualified, with deep expertise in Australian and international taxation, compliance, and ERP systems

Qualifications

• Senior finance leadership experience in manufacturing or engineering.
• CA/CPA qualified with knowledge of Australian and international financial, taxation and compliance standards.
• Strategic mindset with ability to translate data into business outcomes.
• Influential leadership and ability to build relationships across the executive team.
• Hands-on approach and comfort operating in a fast-paced business.

Responsibilities

Your Mission

As CFO, you will be a key strategic advisor to the Managing Director, Owner, and Board. More than just managing the numbers, you’ll lead transformation across financial systems, governance, and reporting. You’ll bring clarity to complexity, guide key investment decisions, and support the continued evolution of a business proud of its roots – but always future-focused.

• Strategic Financial Leadership – Shape and drive long-term financial strategy, capital planning, and operational investment decisions.
• Business Partnering – Collaborate with senior leadership to inform and influence the business’ strategic direction and commercial performance.
• Performance Analytics – Deliver timely, data-driven insights through robust forecasting and automated reporting tools.
• Risk & Compliance Oversight – Ensure effective risk mitigation, legal compliance, and adherence to global tax and financial regulations.

What You Bring

• Proven Experience – Senior finance leadership within manufacturing, engineering, or related industries.
• Professional Qualifications – CA/CPA qualified, with in-depth knowledge of Australian and international financial, taxation, and compliance standards.
• Strategic Insight – A forward-thinking, analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable business outcomes.
• Influential Leadership – Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, lead teams, and navigate complexity.
• Hands-On Approach – Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic, and hands-on business environment.
• Systems Driven – Extensive expertise developing and working within complex ERP and business systems, with experience in Syteline ERP considered a strong advantage.
