Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) in Melbourne is seeking a Director, Education & Capacity Building to lead ATUI and the ACTU’s broader education initiatives. You will set strategic direction, oversee a multidisciplinary team and deliver programs for union leaders, staff and delegates.

Reporting to the Executive Officer, you will shape leadership development, campaigning education and capacity-building across the Australian union movement, while fostering partnerships, funding

Qualifications

• Senior union leadership experience
• Experience in organising, campaigning and union strategy development
• Ability to translate priorities into practical initiatives
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement long-term education and capacity-building initiatives across the movement
• Lead the ATUI program and ACTU Registered Training Organisation responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership to the Education & Capacity Building Work Centre
• Collaborate with ACTU affiliates to ensure relevant, high-impact programs
• Oversee curriculum development and evaluation and secure funding opportunities
• Foster partnerships and a high-performing, values-driven culture
