Job summary

ICC Sydney is seeking energetic Chefs and Cooks to join our Award-winning Event Delivery - Kitchen team, working in our Production Kitchen or with the Events team to plate and serve dishes for world-class events.

You will join a diverse team focused on fresh, seasonal ingredients in a busy, supportive environment. We offer up to 5 days per week with casual shifts and opportunities for ongoing roles within Australia’s leading convention venue.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
• Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster including weekends.

About this opportunity

We are seeking energetic, passionate, and driven Chefs and Cooks to join our award-winning Event Delivery - Kitchen team, working either in our large Production Kitchen, or alongside our Events team to plate and serve dishes, creating memorable experiences. You will join a diverse and supportive team who cater to world-class events held in our Convention, Exhibition and Theatre precinct.

No two days are the same and this unique opportunity will give you the chance to understand how to apply restaurant thinking to large-scale events. Our Kitchens focus on fresh, seasonal, and ethically sourced ingredients. Connecting the nutritional value in food to deliver the best possible environment for success.

Required Skills & Experience

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and noisy environment.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding role that may require some heavy lifting.
• Ability to work across a 7-day rotating roster including day, evening and weekend work with early starts and late finishes.
• Commercial Cookery certificate or appropriate qualifications (desirable)
• Valid working rights in Australia.
• You must be 18 years or over.
