Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is hiring Casual Chefs to work across Brisbane and regional Queensland sites. The casual pool offers a wide mix of shifts to fit your week, with weekday availability Monday to Friday and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities include preparing, cooking and presenting high quality meals, maintaining nutrition awareness, supporting all kitchen stations and following health and safety standards. A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and 2+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or above.
• 2+ years experience working as a Chef.
• Experience in fine dining, events or functions.
• High energy with professional presentation.

We have roles available in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Ipswich.

• Casual pool work across multiple Compass Group sites across Brisbane and regional Queensland
• Weekday availability required Monday to Friday andoccasional weekends

The Position

• Prepare, cook and present high quality meals
• Maintain strong awareness of nutrition and healthy eating
• Support all stations and areas of the kitchen
• Follow health and safety and food safety standards
• Keep wastage to a minimum and support efficient kitchen flow

The Person

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or above
• 2+ years experience working as a Chef
• Experience in fine dining, events or functions with strong attention to detail
• High energy with professional presentation
• Own transport preferred, or ability to access public transport easily
• Willing to work across different sectors including Education, Venues and Corporate
• Must have or be able to obtain a National Police Check and Blue Card
