Ryman Healthcare is seeking an experienced Chef for Deborah Cheetham Retirement Village in Ocean Grove, VIC. This part-time role covers Thursday and Friday from 11:00 to 19:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00, offering opportunities to lead a kitchen with Ryman Delicious dining.

You will contribute to nutritious, high-quality meals, participate in fine dining evenings, and support a friendly, professional kitchen team in a village that values growth and development of culinary skills.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Commercial Cookery or Diploma in Hospitality Management (Commercial Cookery) or international equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Chef, leading a team and running a kitchen.
• Reliable, friendly and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nutritious, high quality, well prepared and well presented meals for residents.
• Prepare specialty dishes for fine dining evenings and village events.
• Adhere to all food hygiene, storage and disposal practices.
• Work closely with and support your team and colleagues.

About the Role

Calling all Chefs! We will challenge any ideas you have on Retirement Village cuisine, we offer more choices and more variety in our all-new approach to food and fine dining called Ryman Delicious! We are developing menus with more complexity and we are investing in redesigning our kitchens and putting in extra resources to make it work.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef at Deborah Cheetham Retirement Village in Ocean Grove. This is aPart-time position working Thursday and Friday, 1100 - 1900 hours, AND, Saturday and Sunday, 1000 - 1800 hours.

In this role you will:

• Ensure nutritious, high quality, well prepared, well presented and enjoyable food is provided to our residents
• Prepare specialty food for fine dining evenings and village functions
• Adhere to all practices relating to food hygiene, preparation, storage and disposal
• Work closely with, and support your team and colleagues

About You

To thrive in our environment you will have:
