Southern Cross Care in Adelaide seeks a part-time Chef Manager to lead catering functions, plan and serve nutritious meals that meet resident preferences and dietary needs.

You will ensure compliance with Food Safety, HACCP and accreditation standards, and use your experience in aged care to support residents with dementia. The role requires trade certification or cookery experience and proficiency with Google Workspace and databases.

Formación

• Relevant trade certificate or cookery experience, plus the Food Safety Supervisor Course (Standard 3.2.2A).
• Previous experience as a cook or chef with planning and preparation of nutritionally balanced meals in aged care.
• Expertise in Aged Care Standards, food regulatory requirements, and supporting residents with dementia is essential.
• Sound problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Google Workspace and database systems.

The Chef Manager provides leadership for catering functions, ensuring the preparation and service of high-quality, nutritious meals that meet resident preferences and special dietary needs.The role is responsible for maintaining compliance with Food Safety regulations, HACCP standards, and accreditation requirements.
